Application Criteria
Morehouse School of Medicine sponsors about 140 residents in seven accredited programs. We are committed to providing quality graduate medical education through teaching in a major level- one trauma center with a diverse patient population and an outstanding faculty.
Individuals applying for programs at Morehouse School of Medicine must hold a medical degree from an accredited medical school. If you hold a degree from an international medical school, a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is required. Each applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a resident alien or able to obtain J1 Exchange Visitor status. Applicants with I-675 Employment Authorization Cards (EAD) also are eligible to apply. In addition to these requirements, each program has specific eligibility requirements that must be satisfied. Apply Through The Match | U.S. Allopathic Senior Medical Students seeking PGY 1- Categorical Residency Positions will be through the Match | ERAS Application | Must submit Complete ERAS Application Prior to Deadlines - Public Health and Preventive Medicine Applicants may use the Program's Application | Curriculum Vitae (ERAS CV Accepted) | Must be in Professional, Physician Format w/ Photograph | USMLE | Step 2 CK Score 80 or Above for Internal Medicine and Family Practice. Must pass Step 2 CS prior to entry into all programs | Three Letters of Reference
