Alumni of the Minority Mental Health Research Program
At the Minority Mental Health Research Program (MMHRP), we value the opportunity to help encourage the youth of America to become valuable members of the community in the field of Mental Health. Below you will find our highlighted MMHRP Alumni who have gone on to make a difference in their communities.
Phillip Christian
Christian was a research assistant intern for the MMHRP from 2001 to 2003. He developed a wealth of knowledge about the field of mental health and substance abuse through hands-on training provided by lead investigator L. DiAnne Bradford, Ph.D. Currently, Christian is pursuing a Masters of Science in Information Science at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. While excelling in this Masters program, he has not moved far from his mental health and substance abuse background. He is currently the assistant supervisor of Community Treatment Team in Norristown, Pa. He performs case management for individuals who have been diagnosed with mental health disorders. His team's goal is to make the transition for these individuals back into the community a smooth process. The MMHRP team is proud of Christian's accomplishments. His work in the community is a great example of the influence that members of the MMHRP experience. |
