Psychiatry Residency Program
Message from the Residency Training Director John O. Gaston, MD The major goal of the Psychiatry Residency Program is to train culturally sensitive, board-eligible psychiatrists. The psychiatry faculty has expertise in academic training and administration, and in working with our diverse clinical affiliates to offer the resident an enriching academic career and clinical training experience. Our residents are encouraged to pursue clinical research and fellowship opportunities. We collaborate with other institutions and organizations to assist the resident in achieving these goals. Residents are provided well-rounded clinical and educational training. We strive to provide high-quality services in behavioral health care. We continue to foster an environment that promotes academic excellence while serving disadvantaged communities. We welcome you to explore our institution as you consider specialty training in psychiatry. Program Objectives Current Residents Grand Rounds Schedule A Glimpse Into Our Program
