Answer: The time period for posting non-faculty positions exclusively for employees has changed from five (5) to seven (7) working days. Employees who apply during this period and meet the minimum qualifications for the vacancy will be referred and must be interviewed. Outside applicants and employees who apply after the exclusive posting period may be interviewed after being refereed by the Human Resources Department (HRD). Question: Who makes the offer to the candidate? Answer: All offical offers of employment for non-faculty positions are made by HRD. Question: How can I keep track of the probationary period and subsequent evaluation required for my new employees? Answer: The first 90 days of employment is considered a mutual evaluation period for new staff employees. HRD is in the process of developing a database to notify department heads 70 days after an employees' hire date to prepare a probationary evaluation. Question: How long must I be in my current position before I can transfer to another position? Answer: If you have completed six months of consecutive service, you are eligible to apply for other positions within the school.
