April 30-May 3, 2007 MSM President Dr. John E. Maupin Jr. was quoted in the May 2007 edition of the National Journal's Congress Daily. Maupin comments on the effort to restore grant funding for minority programs.
In a letter, MSM President Emeritus and Former Secretary of U.S. Health and Human Services Dr. Louis W. Sullivan urged the city council of Greensboro, NC to pass regulations which would make all public places and work sites in Greensboro smoke-free.

A one-hour, prime-time radio documentary highlighting MSM's Prostate Cancer conference was broadcast. Interviews with key MSM presenters and organizers were featured in the program. The documentary was produced by NPR Station WABE-FM.
A writer from Rolling Out covered MSM's "Prostate Cancer Disparity in Black Men…Rising to Meet the Challenge" conference. An article and photo in the weekly publication appeared in the May issue.
April 20, 2007 A television interview with MSM Department of Psychiatry Chair Dr. Gail Mattox was broadcast on WSB-TV. Mattox commented on the psychological effects following the traumatic deaths at Virginia Tech.
An extensive profile of MSM President Dr. John E. Maupin Jr. was featured as a cover story for the Spring 2007 issue of the Atlanta Business Journal. The publication also highlighted MSM and many of its researchers, including Drs. Elizabeth Ofili, Byron Ford, and Alec J. Davidson. Profiles on Drs. Louis W. Sullivan and David Satcher also are included in the issue.

April 11, 2007 Dominic Mack, M.D., M.B.A., former project director of the Regional Coordinating Center for Hurricane Response (RCCHR) at the National Center for Primary Care at Morehouse School of Medicine, has published a paper in the May 2007 issue of the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved.
