A photo of Maupin following Friday's inaugural ceremony appeared in the Metro section of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Additionally, photos from the inauguration also were included in a photo gallery on the AJC Web site.

A 90-minute segment featuring the CNN Primetime documentary "Grady's Anatomy," which features MSM First-Year Surgical Resident Dr. Nii Darko aired on "Entertainment Tonight."

Dr. Lynn Weaver, Chair, MSM's Department of Surgery, was heard over Atlanta airwaves being interviewed by his daughter Olajuamoke Weaver, PA-C, as part of StoryCorps Griot. The Griot project is an initiative created to collect interviews from at least 1,750 African Americans.

MSM President Emeritus Dr. Louis W. Sullivan was mentioned in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for March 13, 2007. The focus of the article, "Age Smart advocates the holistic approach," is a new book Age Smart (Prentice Hall), featuring "tips and tools to help people prosper through midlife and beyond." Several Georgia residents, including former President Jimmy Carter and Sullivan, shared their insights for the book.
