The faculty, staff and students of Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) send heartfelt thoughts and prayers to our colleagues at Northern Illinois University (NIU).

The tragic events at NIU remind us that no campus can claim immunity from such an attack. We are continuing to work on ways to assist us in ensuring the safety of the MSM community.

Let us remember the courage, determination and spirit of the victims and their families, President John Peters, and the entire NIU community in the wake of this unspeakable act of violence.
