Ariele Le Grand earned her BA in Comparative Women's Studies from Spelman College and her MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Ariele has been a sexual and reproductive rights advocate for several years. She worked as a counselor and administrator with the Feminist Women's Health Center of Atlanta and as a community organizer with NARAL. She has developed sexual health curriculum and co-produced a documentary about Atlanta's sex industry. Ariele's research interests include social determinants of disease, reproductive health, sexual cultures, fertility, and the body, in the urban United States, Mexico, Italy, and West Africa.
