Department of Internal Medicine

Welcome to the Department of Medicine at MSM!

As with many great medical schools, the Department of Medicine at MSM is the largest and most complex department consisting of General Internal Medicine and ten divisions. These divisions include Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Geriatrics, Infectious Disease, Neurology and Gastroenterology. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and service.

The Department of Medicine provides residents and medical students with innovative curriculum to address the most complex of disease states. Our residents receive outstanding teaching and direction from nationally and internationally recognized physicians in hospitals, clinics and private settings. We are actively engaged in providing top-notch primary care to patients in the Atlanta Metropolitan area and sub-specialty care to those in Georgia.

The Department of Medicine is a national leader in research. Through translational research, we strive to connect patient care and research. Our affiliations with Grady Memorial Hospital, South Fulton Hospital and Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, provides us an excellent canvas to continuously excel in various areas of research.

Atlanta has been highly rated as both a great place to live and work. The Department of Medicine at MSM is always looking for qualified physicians to join our distinguished faculty team.
