The Technology of Science seminar series, sponsored by Morehouse School of Medicine's Research Centers In Minority Institutions (RCMI), is designed to highlight the MSM/RCMI research cores and their capabilities. There are four core facilities: Cell and Tissues Core, Gene Profiling Core, Analytical Chemistry and Protein Profiling Core, and the Biotechnology Service Labs (BTSL). Each of these facilities contains two or more focused research technology labs that provide a specific service on a fee for service basis. The Technology of Science will be held the last Tuesday of each month beginning January, 2008. The series will run consecutively through April 2008. The focus of the seminars is to showcase the phenomenal research taking place in these facilities, and to create an awareness of what technological research services these cores can offer the MSM as well as the extramural research community. MSM's Dr. Michael Powell, RCMI Protein Profiling Core, and Dr. Winston Thompson, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, will present "Innovative Techniques In Protein Profiling."
