Morehouse School of Medicine Statement: February 20, 2008 Fulton County Commission Vote
|
Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) commends the Fulton County commissioners on their Feb. 20, 2008 approval of a new nonprofit board structure to manage Grady Memorial Hospital. The commission's vote moves Grady a step closer to financial security, enabling this vital health-care resource to continue its high-quality patient care for all Georgians. We hope for prompt consideration and approval by the DeKalb commissioners, as well, allowing Grady to advance into a new era. MSM has many decades of shared history with Grady and Emory School of Medicine. Our two schools provide all of the physicians who care for the public hospital's patients. MSM looks forward to an ongoing partnership with Emory and Grady — a three-fold recipe for a healthy Georgia. |
