– The educational journey for Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM)’s Class of 2020 is about to begin.

The medical school is holding its new M.D. student orientation from June 29-July 1. The three-day event features a full schedule of activities for the soon-to-be medical health equity leaders. Students were welcomed and introduced the first day to MSM faculty by President and Dean Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice while all students were formally introduced by Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs Dr. Ngozi Anachebe.

“Our school is graced by an overwhelming number of exceptionally well-qualified applicants,” Dr. Montgomery Rice said. “You are in good company, and I am delighted to help you begin your transition into this remarkable profession of medicine.”

Students are attending informative sessions that are integral to their success at MSM, including “Debt Management/Money Matters,” a discussion on ethical dilemmas, and “The Road to Becoming a Physician.” They will also take ID photos and get fitted for those iconic white coats.

Best of luck, Class of 2020!
