The Family Medicine program is designed to provide the resident with the knowledge and skill to competently manage medical patients, as well as knowledge about how family dynamics and behavioral medicine principles apply to caring for the health and well being of the family unit.
Our program provides superb family physicians for everyone and specializes in treating minority and underserved communities. We offer state of the art training in all aspects of family medicine including office procedures, community outreach, preventive medicine, women's health care and acupuncture.
Program Director Folashade Omole, M.D., FAAFP and Associate Residency Director Charles M. Sow, M.D., M.S.C.R. oversee the community hospital based program and primary rotations at South Fulton Medical Center and Grady Memorial Hospital.
MSM’s Family Medicine Department offers example Block Rotation schedules for three rotation years.
