Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Morehouse School of Medicine website.

The faculty and staff are committed to offer excellent programs in education and trainingresearch and patient care services. The department provides education and training to medical students in the 3rd Year Clerkship program and clinical electives. We have an accredited, four-year Residency Training program in obstetrics and gynecology.

Faculty members include general obstetricians and gynecologists and subspecialty-trained physicians in maternal-fetal, gynecologic oncology and reproductive endocrinology.  Our physicians offer primary and subspecialty care for women of all ages within the Grady Health System where the majority of education and training activities are centered.

Faculty physicians also take care of patients at Morehouse Medical Associates, our private group practice, where we offer services in primary reproductive health care, high risk and complicated pregnancies; treat patients with gynecologic cancers; and see patients with infertility and gynecologic endocrinology conditions. Faculty clinical expertise and services are readily available to referring physicians and patients.

We have a strong commitment to research in female reproductive health care, including basic science laboratory and translational clinical research.  In addition to our clinical, MD faculty, we have five basic science faculty members with full time appointments in our department. The department is involved in cutting edge research in women's health and cancer.

We strive to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities, particularly those that are underserved.
