We are particularly interested in elucidating the relationship between somatic maturation and pubertal development and the potential role of somatic signals in triggering the initiation of puberty. We are also investigating the potential role of thyroid hormone in the process of central nervous system remodeling that is essential for driving pubertal changes in the pattern of GnRH secretion in primates. |
