Dr. Allison B. Burkett graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Psychology. She received her medical degree from State University of New York Stony Brook. Dr. Burkett completed her General Surgery residency at North Shore University Hospital-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York City. Following her General Surgery training she completed her fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Atlanta Medical Center.
During her training she has been recognized for her "Humanism in medicine" (awarded 2001). Dr. Burkett has co-authored papers that have been published in peer reviewed journals and she has presented case reports at national conferences. Her training in open and endovascular procedures at a Metropolitan Atlanta trauma medical center has prepared her for a vast array of patient needs in vascular medicine.
Dr. Burkett is board certified in Vascular Surgery, General Surgery and certified in Wound Healing and Hyperbaric therapy. Dr. Burkett has served the Metro Atlanta Community. She has been on staff at Piedmont hospitals and Tenet hospitals (Atlanta Medical Center and South Fulton Medical Center). Her primary focus is vascular surgery and medicine providing care for patients with arterial and venous disease. She is passionate about the community that she serves..
