Public Health/General Preventive Medicine Residency Program

    Didactic activities include MPH program coursework; weekly seminars; monthly journal club; Board preparation sessions; departmental seminars; and local and national conferences.

    The weekly didactics include public health leadership, epidemiology, substance abuse disorders, occupational medicine, community health, research design, health management, health policy, quality improvement, and other core subjects. The program supports resident participation in state and national conferences such as the American College of Preventive Medicine, the American Public Health Association, the Georgia Public Health Association, as well as other conferences relative to residents’ public health interests. Conference support also includes the Preventive Medicine Review Course sponsored by the American College of Preventive Medicine.
