Merriah Croston became a member of Metropolitan Atlanta Violence Prevention Partnership in the Fall of 2009 and has since served on the ad hoc Restructuring Committee. As a member of this committee's duo, she has enhanced the use of current technologies to benefit MAVPP in its efforts to increase communication, reduce overlap, highten marketability, and overall support the Partnership's mission to promote a violence free metropolitan Atlanta. Ms. Croston is a scientist, free lance journalist, and social communication and design enthusiast and has an educational background in biology and public health epidemiology. In her short public health career, she has interned with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists and currently provides the epidemiological bent for the Georgia Violent Death Reporting System. She is the sole visionary of Blue Ink, a start up social media platform to promote minority health initiatives and has professional interests in minority public health with a specific focus in violence prevention and peace promotion.
