  • Everyone working for or on behalf of Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is required to be aware of the rules and regulations that govern their work and is required to seek answers and guidance when unsure about a course of action or situation.  Additionally, everyone working for or on behalf of MSM who reasonably suspects or has actual knowledge of a compliance violation must report such information at the earliest possible opportunity.

    While everyone is encouraged to work with their supervisor, manger, department administrator, director or chairperson to review and report potential violations, MSM guarantees the right of anyone to confidentially and anonymously discuss or inquire about compliance issues or report suspected violations directly to the Compliance Helpline at 1-888-756-1364.  Compliance questions or concerns and reports of suspected compliance violations may also be reported in confidence, to the extent the law permits, to the Chief Compliance and Internal Audit Officer or the Office of General Counsel.  All reports will be thoroughly investigated and action taken, where appropriate.

    There will be no retaliation for inquiries or good faith reporting of actual or possible violations of the MSM Code of Conduct or the Compliance Program.  Any actual or suspected retaliatory behavior should be immediately reported to the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit where it will be thoroughly investigated by the Chief Compliance and Internal Audit Officer or his/her designee.  Any confirmed act of retaliation will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

    All reports of non-compliance should be made in good faith and with the best of intentions.  It is a serious violation of MSM policy for anyone to intentionally make false accusations.  Such an occurrence may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

    Reporting Methods:

    • Call the Compliance Helpline at 1-888-756-1364 (this line is monitored by an external third-party and does not have caller ID)
    • Speak with a member of the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit or the Office of General Counsel
    • Contact your supervisor, manager, department administrator, director or chairperson, or the Human Resources Department
