MSM Congratulates Kateena Johnson

Kateena Johnson, a student in MSM’s MD, MS in Clinical Research, and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences programs, will be a participant in the 2013 American Society for Microbiology Scientific Writing and Publishing Institute on March 21 – 24, 2013 in Washington, DC. Two other MSM PhD students have been selected for this honor in previous years, Martin Shelton and Nana Wilson.
Ms. Johnson is currently completing her doctoral research on HIV/AIDS in the laboratory of Dr. Vincent Bond in the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Immunology at Morehouse School of Medicine and is preparing to return to the clinical phase of her MD training next year. She is also a recent recipient of the prestigious UNCF/Merck Predoctoral Research Fellowship, and a research grant from the American Medical Association Foundation.
