Master of Science in Medical Sciences Degree Program

Morehouse School of Medicine introduced the Master of Science in Medical Sciences Degree Program in 2012 with our first group of 11 students beginning the program in August.
The Master of Science in Medical Sciences Degree Program at Morehouse School of Medicine is designed to enhance the credentials of its students for entry into medical school by offering a challenging biomedical sciences and public health curriculum, strengthening critical thinking skills and providing a supportive and nurturing academic environment.
The Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) Degree Program challenges students in advanced level graduate courses, works to strengthen MCAT scores, helps develop an understanding of careers in medicine, provides diverse clinical experiences, improves communication skills through mock interviews and seminars, improves study methods, and assists in improving strategies for developing successful applications to professional health programs.
The MSMS degree is a two-year non-thesis program which includes graduate courses in biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of public health and epidemiology. Morehouse School of Medicine will award Master of Science in Medical Sciences Degrees at our May 2014 Commencement Ceremonies.
