    Arthur R. Collins is a Founding Partner of the Collins | Johnson group, an independent consulting firm focusing on public policy development, strategic communications and political consulting at the highest levels of federal, foreign, state and local governments and for profit and not for profit executives and corporate board members. His industry concentrations include national security, energy, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, information technology, transportation, finance and banking, telecommunications, development, manufacturing, and consumer products.

    Prior to founding the Collins | Johnson group in 2011, Collins served as Chairman and CEO of Public Private Partnership, Inc., which he founded in 1990. He previously worked for the Florida House of Representatives, the Florida Department of Insurance, the Florida State Treasurer and the IBM Corporation. His tenure at IBM included consulting with state government executives and elected officials on enhancing operations and management through the utilization of cutting edge technology.

    Collins served as a Senior Political Strategist for the current President of the United States during the 2008 Presidential campaign. Following the election he served as a Public Liaison within the Presidential Transition Project. In 2004, Collins was Senior Advisor to the Presidential Democratic Nominee during his general election campaign for President of the United States. In 1990, he served as campaign manager for the Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice.

    His extensive public service includes numerous gubernatorial appointments. In 2001 he was appointed to the newly established Florida A&M University Board of Trustees and was elected by his peers to serve as the first Chairman of the Board. He was also appointed by the Governor of Florida to the Florida Prepaid College Board, serving as a member of its investment committee. Collins also served as Chairman, Florida Consumer's Council, Member, Florida Small and Minority Business Advisory Council, Member, Florida Governor's Business Advisory Council on Education, Member, Tallahassee-Leon County-Florida Planning Commission, President and Campaign Chairman, United Way of the Big Bend Board of Directors and President, C.K. Steele Jaycees.

    Currently, Collins is a member of the Morehouse School of Medicine Board of Trustees. Elected in 2010, he serves as Vice-Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and as a member of the Development and External Affairs Committee. He also serves as board member and Treasurer for the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education & Leadership Institute and is Chairman of its policy think tank, the 21st Century Council. In 2011, Collins was elected to serve as a board member of the Meridian International Center, a leading non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening international understanding through the exchange of people, ideas and culture.

    Collins graduated from the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended the University of Miami School of Law and the University of Montpellier-France. In 2009, he received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater Florida A&M University.
