Robert L. Wright, O.D., is Chairman and CEO of FE Holdings, Inc., a company dedicated to the entrepreneurial spirit of investment and growth in the private and development sectors with interests in motorsports, gaming, entertainment, real estate and lighting.
Starting with only three employees in 1985, Dr. Wright built Dimensions International (DI) into a world-class organization with more than 100 offices in 10 countries and over 1500 employees in 16 different time zones. DI provided leading-edge technology to the government and private sector in the fields of logistics support, systems engineering and integration, information management and technology, airspace management, and security engineering and operations.
Dr. Wright served as Chairman and CEO, and later Chairman Emeritus and Senior Advisor of DI until 2007, when the company was sold to Honeywell for $230,000,000. Dr. Wright served as Chairman of Flight Explorer (FE), which he purchased from DI prior to the sale of DI to Honeywell. FE is a global flight tracking, information technology and communications solutions provider to the business aviation and traveler community.
Dr. Wright serves on several Boards of Directors including Aflac and chairs the Aflac Audit Committee, the Board of Trustees for Columbus State University, The Ohio State University Alumni Advisory Council and Capital Campaign Steering Committee, the Board of Trustees for Morehouse School of Medicine, and is a member of the Board of Governors for the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Cabinet for the Washington, DC, Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc. and a former Chairman of the Presidential Commission for the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.
Dr. Wright has received numerous awards most recently being inducted into the Horatio Alger Association receiving the Horatio Alger Award for Distinguished Americans.
