  • The following standard expenses are included in student's budget (dependent on program, year in school, and housing status). Budgets have been increased in order to provide ample funds for all students without the need to make adjustments. Many students will be able to manage on considerably less than the budget indicates and we strongly encourage students to do so.

Due to the limited amount of institutional funds received each year, these funds will be applied to a portion of the basic budget. Any expenses not funded with institutional funds must be funded with federal or private loans. During the 2012-2013 academic year, the amount allotted in the budget for room and utilities will be calculated on the basis of a one-bedroom apartment.  Student budgets have not been finalized for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Listed below are the 2011-2012 student budgets for each of our educational programs:

First-year budget (full-time students or 9 credit hours per semester) will be based on average charges for a first year student. Basic budgets will be reviewed prior to processing additional loan funds for the student. Actual charges will be calculated to determine student’s eligibility for additional loan funds.

Half time student budgets will be based on the minimum number of credit hours (5) needed (each semester) to apply for financial aid. Basic budget will be reviewed prior to processing additional loan funds. Actual charges will be calculated (at the student’s request) before processing additional loan funds. Exceptions: If maximum funds have already been processed, actual charges will be applied in order to prevent (reduce) over awards.

NOTE:: Health insurance, parking and other optional fees will not be included in the basic budgets. Specific charges will be included at the student’s request. No adjustment allowed to the basic budget.
