Division of Health Policy

The Division of Health Policy is focused on providing leadership and developing leaders committed to developing and implementing policies and practices which reduce and ultimately eliminate disparities in health.

To this end, our activities are focused on:

• Developing, training, and engaging established and emerging leaders and students in the promotion, development, and implementation of policies and practices which reduce and ultimately eliminate disparities in health.

• Engaging communities, organizations, and leaders across all sectors to advance policies to improve the conditions for optimal health and health equity.

• Conducting and collaborating on research which informs best practices, models, and policies that reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities.

• Influencing policy and resource allocation to promote health equity through testimonies, publications, and active communication of relevant and timely health information to decision makers, professional organizations, and the public.
