    Dr. Moore-Ruffin is a Board Certified Family Physician. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1992 from Memphis State University in her hometown of Memphis, TN. She majored in Biology, with a minor in Microbiology. She is a 1996 Honors Graduate of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her internship and residency training in Family Medicine at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

    Dr. Moore-Ruffin has worked in both academic and private medical settings.
    In addition, she has held a clinical faculty appointment at The Ohio State University School of Medicine Family Medicine Predoctoral Program. Dr. Moore-Ruffin has had publications on both adolescent confidentiality and sexual history taking among primary care physicians.

    Her interests include primary care practice, medical education, and obesity and obesity-related illnesses. Dr. Moore-Ruffin's current focus is the development of policies and practices, particularly in primary care and medical training settings, which address obesity and obesity-related illness in medically underserved and disparate populations.
