MSM Model of Service-Learning, Community Service and Civic Engagement
For more than six years, the center has diligently worked toward creating innovative opportunities for students, faculty and academic affiliates in order to address health disparities in underserved communities we serve. As a result of our strategic planning process, we recognized the need to design a model that encompasses our core programming and is based on the successful implementation of innovative health promotion service projects by our students.
The MSM Model of Service-Learning, Community Service and Civic Engagement has been developed to strategically position the center as a pioneer in integrating these three core areas within medical education and student extramural activities.
