The National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer III: Community Networks Program (NBLIC III: CNP) is a program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at Morehouse School of Medicine. Our mission is to reduce cancer health disparities for African Americans by developing collaborations that enhance community-based participatory education, research, and training in the African-American community.
The strategies and collaborations of NBLIC III were developed to encourage people from the community to work with scientists to help find ways of addressing important questions about the burden of cancer in the African-American community. Our "Health Disparities Symposium on Cancer: Addressing the Issues" builds upon current efforts of NBLIC III. The symposium is designed to address indicators that affect cancer health disparities.
