CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION This conference is designed for the Obstetrician-Gynecologist in the practice of this specialty as well as residents and students in training, perinatal health care delivery personnel, reproductive health and environmental health specialists as well as social scientists, health policy officials and community reproductive health activists. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of the conference, the participants should be able to: - Better understand birth defects, teratognesis and gene environmental interactions;
- Be aware of major environmental toxic substances and their affects on reproductive health;
- Understand HPV Exposure and changes in pregnancy;
- Be aware of ultrasound and other diagnostic applications to pregnancy monitoring for detection of fetal abnormalities;
- Determine HPV diagnostic and treatment recommendations.
CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION The Morehouse School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The Morehouse School of Medicine designates this continuing education activity up to 6.0 credit hours in Category 1 of the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.
