Service projects
Morehouse School of Medicine Salutes Students in Service to Communities provides opportunities for all degreed students and residents to develop community service projects which match their personal and professional interests. Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are solicited from students in the fall. Proposals should outline the following: - community need
- proposed service activities
- anticipated outcomes
- evaluation measures
- expected expenses
Through this competitive RFP process, selected students are awarded mini-grants to plan and implement community service projects in partnership with a community-based agency of their choice. Service projects generally take place over a two- to three-month period and may last longer. Students present their projects through multi-media presentations and poster exhibits to the MSM campus and community. As a result, students develop skills in grant writing, leadership and presentation techniques. Eye health screening Fitness workshop
