It is with great sadness that MSM acknowledges the passing away of one of the world’s
greatest humanitarians. Nelson R. Mandela died following a lengthy illness. His
death is a tremendous loss not only to South Africa, but to the world.
The first black president of South Africa, Mr. Mandela was a force to be reckoned
with, a huge giant who peacefully fought for the freedom and equality of his fellow
countrymen. He is to South Africa what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is to America. As
a visionary, Mr. Mandela spearheaded the transformation of how people perceived race
on a global scale. He exemplified a remarkable life of dignity and humility, even
following 27 years of harsh and cruel imprisonment. He was also a strong advocate
for those with HIV/AIDS when it was most uncommon.
Mr. Mandela will be remembered as a consummate leader, peacemaker, and global icon
whose legacy will live for ages to come.
On behalf of the MSM Family, we extend our deepest condolences to the Mandela Family
and to South Africa. We will truly miss his leadership and inspiration.
