Atlanta - Two Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) psychiatry residents have been chosen to participate in the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Minority Fellowships Program as either an APA/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) or APA/AstraZeneca fellow.

MSM second-year resident Don DuBose, M.D., will participate in the 2008-2010 APA/AstraZeneca Fellows Program.

Recent MSM psychiatry residency graduate (July 2008) Tayo Obatusin, M.D., serves at Mount Sinai Hospital where Obatusin has been selected as an Addiction Fellow.

"It is clear that the prestigious American Psychiatric Association Awards earned by Drs. Tayo Obatusin and Don Dubose reflect their commitment and dedication to scholarship and service. We are proud of them for what they have accomplished and anticipate even greater achievements in the future," said MSM Professor of Clinical Psychiatry Quentin Smith, M.D.

DuBose and Obatusin are among 25 new minority psychiatry residents selected to participate in the APA Minority Fellowships Program.

The APA is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychiatrists in the United States.
