President Emeritus Dr. Louis W. Sullivan recently received a Moulthrop bowl, an internationally recognized wood turning bowl, in honor of his vision and leadership in life sciences, university research and industry development. Among many other accomplishments, Sullivan was recognized for the establishment of Morehouse School of Medicine as a leading educational and research institute in the state and for bringing the proposed National Health Museum to Atlanta.
Sullivan’s formation of Morehouse School of Medicine and the National Health Museum are solidifying the reputation of Atlanta and the state as a global center of health research and education.
Moulthrop bowls are presented as gifts for extraordinary philanthropy in the nation and are represented in the following museums and galleries:
