Dr. Clarence Clark was recently invited by Dr. Adil Haider, Kessler director of the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Brigham and Women's
Hospital, and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Health Care Disparities
to serve on the Stakeholder Advisory Board for a new project evaluating a cultural

On October 13, 2016, Community Voices Director Starla Hairston Blanks, MBA, MPH, and Program Assistant Latempestt Johnson, MBA, presented at the National Urban League's Whitney M. Young Leadership Conference. <<MORE>>
On October 10, 2016, at the NAADAC (The Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors) Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., Dr. Eugene Herrington was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by NAADAC President Dr. Kirk Bowden.
The award is presented to individuals who have established outstanding services through
a lifetime of consistent contributions to the advancement of the addiction profession
and its professionals at a national level.

IMIG Fall Toiletry Drive
From October 5 - 28th, the Internal Medicine Interest Group is conducting its Fall Toiletry Drive, collecting
deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and shampoo, to distribute to homeless men in women in Atlanta. Drop off boxes are in both the
Hugh Gloster and NCPC lobbies.

Pretty in Pink Sweatshirt Sale
The Emergency Medicine Interest Group is collaborating with the OBGYN Interest Group
on a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness selling limited edition pink MSM sweatshirts
until October 31st. Proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
