MSM requires all degree-seeking and all international students either have health insurance or purchase the MSM sponsored plan. In order to meet this requirement, you must either choose to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan or successfully complete the waiver process. If you choose to enroll in the student plan, you will be charged via Student Financial Services. For more information about the Student Health Insurance requirement and coverage, please contact Ms. Daryl Hall at or at (888) 978-8355.

The MSM Student Health Insurance is offered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Cross Blue Shield is one of the largest health insurance companies in the nation and is a name that students and their families recognize and can trust. The MSM coverage includes the Blue Open Access POS/Dental/Vision.

Please be aware the MSM BSBS Insurance Plan meets and in most cases significantly exceeds the MSM student required insurance coverage minimums. Also be aware that some private insurance policies will not cover services provided by the SEHS-IC, nor will they cover dependents beyond certain age limitations. You are strongly encouraged to review your private health insurance coverage and become aware of special requirements and provisions of your plan, such as pre-admission certification, medical benefits and prescription coverage. Once again, it is important (and required) that MSM students have insurance coverage that will provide them with access to healthcare in Atlanta, and not just in your home community or state.

Vaccines related to MSM required immunizations are not billed to student insurance plans. The student fee covers immunizations ONLY.
