The Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation Award for Institutional Excellence in Social Mission
will be presented to MSM during the Beyond Flexner 2016 Conference in Miami, Florida on Sept. 19. The purpose of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation Awards is to recognize outstanding social mission leadership in health professions education. <<MORE>>
SHLI welcomes its 2016-2017 Health Policy Leadership Fellows Lizeth Camacho, PhD, Jorge Verlenden, PhD, Samantha Bent-Weber, JD, Carmen Dickinson-Copeland, PhD, and LoAnn Heurig, MD. The health policy fellowship, now in its 8th year with 30 program graduates, prepares
postdoctoral professionals to take leadership roles promoting policies and practices
that reduce disparities and advance health equity.
Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green was recently interviewed on TVOne's NewsOne Now with Roland Martin, where she discussed
her revolutionary laser cancer treatment and what inspired her to begin her research
