The 2018 Public Health Conference will address research, clinical and health advocacy through our general session presentations and will take into account the importance of achieving health equity through the advancements made by these innovative approaches in cancer and beyond.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Public health professionals, healthcare providers, community health workers, researchers,
health and social service agency leaders, policy decision makers, medical residents,
students, community-at-large, and community leaders.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE
At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to:

Discuss and describe the value of Community Canter Centers to advance cancer health equity.

Examine the role of community cancer centers in the dissemination of evidence-based strategies and best practices related to the treatment and prevention of cancer.

Identify cancer health disparities among the underserved as well as health policies and initiatives that may contribute to the advancement of cancer health equity.

Identify and foster relationships among diversity stakeholders to build and sustain community capacity that addresses cancer.
