Requirements for Acceptance into the B.S./M.S. Program in Neuroscience

This is a competitive program. Among the items to be considered for acceptance into this program are:

  • Undergraduate transcripts (a combination of GPA and rigor of coursework will be considered)
  • Recommendations
  • Interview
  • Applicant statement of interests and goals

The minimum course requirements for entry into  the program are:

  • One year of undergraduate biology
  • One year of undergraduate chemistry

The following are also desired but not required:

  • One semester or more of undergraduate calculus
  • One or two semesters of undergraduate physics
  • Additional undergraduate coursework in biology, chemistry or biochemistry
  • Prior research experience
