Todd Greene Joins Morehouse School of Medicine as Senior Vice President for Institutional Relations
Newly envisioned role unites external affairs, institutional advancement, and economic and workforce development efforts to advance MSM's mission and impact.
ATLANTA, GA – JANUARY 28, 2026 – Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is pleased to announce that Todd Greene has joined the institution as Senior Vice President for Institutional Relations, effective February 2, 2026. This newly envisioned leadership role brings together External Affairs and the Office of Institutional Advancement under one strategic portfolio while expanding MSM's engagement in corporate and industry partnerships, workforce development and economic development initiatives that advance the institution's mission of health equity, biomedical discovery and community impact.
In this role, Greene reports to MSM President and CEO Valerie Montgomery Rice, MD, FACOG, and will lead MSM's philanthropic strategy, corporate and foundation relations, donor stewardship, strategic partnerships and external engagement efforts. He will also spearhead new opportunities to deepen MSM's contributions to workforce and economic development — connecting the institution's research, education and clinical expertise to regional and national partners across health care, industry, philanthropy and the public sector.
"Todd Greene brings a rare combination of national stature, deep relationships across Georgia and the Southeast and a proven track record of forging partnerships that drive real impact," Dr. Montgomery Rice said. "His ability to engage faculty, researchers, students, funders and industry leaders will be instrumental as we advance MSM's ambitious agenda and expand our influence at the intersection of education, research, clinical care and community engagement."
Greene brings more than two decades of experience leading complex, cross-sector initiatives that connect education, workforce systems and economic development. Most recently, he served as vice president of the Work, Education and Labor Division at the Urban Institute, where he led national research and policy initiatives spanning K-12 education, higher education, apprenticeships, workforce development and labor markets. He also served as executive director of WorkRise, an innovative research-to-action network focused on improving job quality, boosting economic mobility and amplifying workers' voices across the United States.
Previously, Greene was executive director of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Consortium, where he led efforts to strengthen academic programs, expand interdisciplinary research and advance a regional economic development agenda across the nation's largest consortium of historically Black colleges and universities. For more than a decade, he served as a vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he founded and led the Federal Reserve System's Human Capital and Workforce Development Working Group and helped launch the Federal Reserve's Center for Workforce and Economic Opportunity — elevating workforce development as a core component of the Federal Reserve's labor market mission.
