Research Interests

Translational research and clinical trials among minorities, especially traditionally underserved populations. Studies have been focused on the aspects of biomarkers, genetic and genomic medicine in African Americans with chronic metabolic, cardiovascular diseases, and others including insulin resistance, diabetes, hypertension, hypovitaminosis D, etc.
