June is Men's Health Month
June marks Men’s Health Month, a national observance dedicated to raising awareness about preventable health conditions and encouraging men and boys to seek regular medical care. At Morehouse School of Medicine, we are committed to leading the creation and advancement of health equity to achieve health justice — and that includes advocating for the health and wellness of the men in our communities.
Men are often less likely to visit the doctor regularly, yet routine checkups and screenings are vital for early detection and prevention of serious health issues like heart disease, cancer and stroke.
Morehouse Healthcare is here to support you with compassionate, comprehensive care. Whether it’s your annual physical or a specific health concern, we encourage you to take charge of your health.

As part of our mission to serve resource-limited areas and promote needs-based healthcare assistance, we also lead the Prostate Cancer Precision Prevention Program (PCP3) — a research and outreach initiative addressing the higher risk of prostate cancer in Black men. PCP3 promotes early PSA screenings and provides access to cutting-edge resources for detection and prevention.
This Men’s Health Month, take a proactive step toward your well-being, and encourage the men in your life to do the same.
