What can you expect?

The symposium will include a full day of panel discussions, global health initiative spotlights and professional networking around themes such as:

  • Providing culturally-competent medical care to underserved communities abroad
  • Broadening and sustaining global health service and research through interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaborations
  • Training the next generation of learners equipped to lead in the creation and advancement of health equity with a global lens.

A diverse mix of international and domestic global health and development experts, researchers, policy-makers, students, community members, and advocates will join us in imagining a way forward in the pursuit of global health equity, including speakers and panelists from Morehouse School of Medicine, National Institutes of Health (NIH), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Health Organization/Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO), the Andrew J. Young Foundation, the Task Force for Global Health, the Carter Center, and the Georgia Global Health Alliance.
