Morehouse School of Medicine Challenges Stereotypes about Rural Health
DECEMBER 15, 2018 - The school has increased its outreach efforts, especially through pipeline programs targeting high schools and colleges in rural areas. In addition, Morehouse has fostered an alliance with the Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in Georgia, a network of programs designed to distribute medical students and doctors to underserved areas.

M.D. Student Kamron Robinson Selected by White House as 2018 HBCU Competitive Scholar
NOVEMBER 7, 2018 - Kamron Robinson sits back in his chair and laughs. He laughs as though he is in disbelief of all that he has achieved so far. From a young boy growing up in Florissant, Missouri--not far from the riots in Ferguson just a few years back. Now just two years away from becoming a doctor, the Morehouse School of Medicine student was recently recognized by the White House for all his hard work in the classroom.

MSM Appoints Gianluca Tosini as New Chief Scientific Research Officer
NOVEMBER 2, 2018 - Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) recently named Gianluca Tosini, Ph.D., as Chief Scientific Research Officer. Tosini is also the Chair and Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He has been a member of the MSM Neuroscience Institute since 1998 and most recently served as the Institute's Acting Director. Tosini is also Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine.
