Meet our CMO

Goldie Taylor

Goldie Taylor, MBA, founding chief executive and managing director at G O L D I E — a full service, consumer-driven brand marketing agency, has been named the new MSM chief marketing officer, effective January 6, 2020.

Ms. Taylor’s body of work spans over two decades serving as a “premier brand superpower” in both emerging companies and global brands—including Kraft Foods, McDonald’s, CNN Worldwide, NBC Universal, Time Warner, Toyota North America, The Home Depot, Sara Lee Foods, American Airlines, General Mills, Sun Microsystems, BellSouth Mobility, Disney Worldwide and the Procter & Gamble family of brands. Taylor is a pioneer in culturally-relevant, purpose-driven marketing and was the chief architect of P&G’s “My Black Is Beautiful.”  Her enterprising finesse and layered innovative approaches will provide meaningful depth to the Institution’s strategic goal of advancing brand awareness in local, national and global markets.

“We are excited to welcome Ms. Taylor to the MSM Community and feel her energy, experience and commitment to health equity will enhance our leadership effectiveness,” said MSM’s President and Dean Valerie Montgomery Rice, M.D. “She is a nationally-awarded and recognized leader in marketing and communications and will add depth and value to our impact strategies.”

To Taylor, advancing health equity is central to socioeconomic progress by focusing our collective investments on training our learners into culturally competent health professionals that advocate for better access to quality care for patients and the communities they serve. She remarks, “We can seed greater prosperity to transform communities and lives, while it is no small feat, our building sustainable pathways that improve the quality of life for underserved, distressed communities are a shared obligation.”

It is an exciting time at Morehouse School of Medicine, the thought leader in health equity. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Leadership Council, we congratulate Ms. Taylor and wish her a wonderful experience working with our outstanding faculty, students, staff and institutional partners.
