Dr. Erika Brown Graduates from Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM®) Program for Women

 

April 30, 2015 - Dr. Erika T. Brown, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Development at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), graduated on April 30 from the 2014-15 class of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM®) program for women. 

 

Her institutional action project (IAP), entitled “The Implementation of a Novel Executive Leadership On-boarding Program,” was selected as one of three IAPs (out of a total of 54) for presentation at the 2015 ELAM® Spring Symposium “Challenges of Change” panel, which also included the fellows’ deans. Dr. Brown and MSM President and Dean Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice discussed the development of the IAP and its successful execution at MSM to a crowd of 2014-15 ELAM® fellows, their institutional deans and senior leaders, and past ELAM® graduates.
