Healthcare Science Teachers' Training Symposium and Externship

May 28-29, 2015 - The Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Surgery hosted a two-day symposium at Grady Memorial Hospital on the state of the health care industry. MSM partnered with the Atlanta Public School and DeKalb Public School Systems to conduct a State of the Health Care Industry Training Program for their teachers and counselors. Many of the teachers have been tasked with instructing and informing their students in the health care and biomedical science programs, but have been out of their field for a period of time.  The purpose of the training seminar and symposium was to update them on what is going on and relevant in the hospital environment and the health care industry.
