American Public Health Association Invite Dr. Gemechu Gerbi to Serve on Nation’s Health Advisory Committee

 

 

 

Gerbi American Public Health Association has invited Dr. Gemechu Gerbi to serve on Nation’s Health Advisory Committee for a two year term.

  • The Nation's Health is a nationally recognized, award-winning newspaper of the American Public Health Association that provides the latest health news for our leading public health professionals and legislators. Dr. Gerbi is a professor of biostatistics and epidemiology and director of  public health research in the MPH Program. 

 

  • Prior to joining MSM, Dr. Gerbi was an epidemic intelligence officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Dr. Gerbi brings to the MSM Master of Public Health Program practical experience as an Epidemic Intelligence Officer (EIS) officer in the Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch, Division of Viral Hepatitis, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As an EIS officer, he conducted field investigations of potentially serious public health problems which required a timely response at national and international levels.
