Master of Science in Biomedical Technology
The Master of Science in Biomedical Technology (MSBT) program provides a foundation in the biomedical sciences and advanced training in specific biotechnologies. The goal of the MSBT program is to develop the technical expertise of the students in biomedical research methods and instrumentation of interest to them and/or their employers. The degree is intended to help graduates enter the field of biomedical technology at an advanced level or to further progress them in their career field.
The educational training sequence begins with an introductory foundation in basic human biology and tools for the professional scientist. Students then select technological areas of interest in which to expand their training and perform laboratory internships in academic, government, or corporate laboratories employing these methods.
