This program is designed to engage medical students, faculty and staff in service-learning activities in partnership with community and faith-based organizations throughout Atlanta.  The center provides future physicians the analytical skills to understand the economic, social and environmental needs of underserved communities. Learn & Serve America is the Center’s longest running project and is designed to engage medical and graduate students in community service linked to academic achievement and the development of civic engagement skills.

Area Health Education Centers Program

Supports health professions education in underserved sites to improve the supply of health professionals to rural and inner-city communities and the quality of health care in these communities. Reaches underserved communities in the State of Georgia and South-central Alabama.
