The Morehouse School of Medicine’s Division of Neurology is composed of board certified specialists who provide consultation and care services throughout the institution at Grady Memorial Hospital and Morehouse Medical Associates Clinics.

The goals of our division are:

  1. To deliver quality neurological care to patients with central and peripheral nervous system diseases including stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, headache, delirium, dementia, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, radiculopathy, myopathy, myasthenia gravis and peripheral neuropathy.
  2. To provide a level of training to residents that will teach them patient care skills and prepare them for fellowships in sub-specialty areas of Clinical Neurology.
  3. To conduct translational research with an emphasis on stroke intervention /prevention; vascular cognitive impairment; traumatic brain injury and alzheimer’s disease in an effort to identify and improve behavioral, and genetic/biologic factors that impact healthcare disparities in neurologic disease.
